Preserving and foraging

Thanks to the naturalist abilities of Julie and Alison, we can now see the hazelnuts from the trees!

Sara, granddaughter of Hazel, descendant of Norweigian immigrants from Hazel Tree Grove, is collecting the nostalgia.

Meanwhile, Paula makes candy for the winter (dehydrating sherry tomatoes for use in pesto pasta later on)!

THIS is the first non hot variety pepper that I have been able to grow to full size.  Nice!
